A developer has started clearing land for the 88 Hundred Collins condo project in Surfside.

The four-story project at 8800 Collins Ave. will have 28 units priced from $695,000 to just under $2 million. Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s Rosy Cancela is the exclusive broker on the project, which will have 12 one-bedroom lofts and 16 condos with two and three bedrooms. Nine of the condos will have a private terrace with Jacuzzis.

The 88 Collins will include a pool, lounge, gym and yoga terrace.

From 2014 to January 2016, 8809 Harding Development bought out the condos in the building from 1979 and terminated the condominium association. Miller Construction recently started demolition of the building and it was also hired to construct the condo building.

Doral-based 8809 Harding Development is managed by Leonardo Ambard and Salvador Di Lodovico. The architect is Cristina Fandino and the interior designer is PG Studio. The developer said 88 Collins should be completed in 2018.

The condo project is across the street from the Surfside Tennis Center and a block west of the beach.
