Almost a native, Rosy grew up in the South Florida area and is now resident of Coconut
Grove. She serves the community she loves so well not only with her Real Estate skills, but also by participating in the boards of many charitable, artistic and professional foundations that benefit the community. Her dedication, as Chairperson of the Jackson Memorial Foundation, and as co-founder of the Guardian Angels has helped raise millions of dollars for the improvement of health care. Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove is one of the oldest communities in the City of Miami overlooking Biscayne Bay with an eclectic style luring young residents since the early 1960’s. Throughout the years, Coconut Grove has also been an attraction for authors, artists, musicians and inventors.  These have included Robert Frost, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Alexander Graham Bell, Tennessee Williams and Marjory Stoneman Douglas, defender of the Everglades.

Coconut Grove, also known as The Grove, consists of numerous distinct neighborhoods with various styles and price ranges.  One of these communities includes a flourishing African-American neighborhood whose descendants include early settlers from the Bahamas. The Grove can have a moderate cottage right next door to a recently renovated mansion or small condominium complex.  The cities luxurious mansions and waterfront estates are located in the Coconut Grove area and have residents including high profile individuals involved in the entertainment, business and sports professions.

The Grove also consists of a successful retail-entertainment center including Coco Walk, an indoor-outdoor shopping center with boutiques and restaurants and the Streets of Mayfair, which features a 10-screen movie theater. The small boutiques, restaurants and jewelry carts create an outdoor Miami atmosphere making the Grove a desirable destination for residents and visitors. Coconut Grove has other monumental features including the historic Villa Viscaya, the Miami Museum of Science, Mercy Hospital, respected and prestigious private schools, churches, parks and one of the most well liked marinas, Dinner Key.


Coral Gables

Coral Gables, known as the “City Beautiful”, is one of the most livable communities in the United States and was founded in 1925 by developer George Merrick.  Coral Gables features lush foliage, suspended trees, a golf course, a waterway, civic plazas, arches and a fountain has become one of Florida’s earliest and most successful planned communities providing residents and visitors with impeccable municipal services.  This quiet and safe residential area has a thriving business sector, fine residential areas, historic landmarks, a vibrant downtown area and a high quality of life.  Coral Gables has become the Corporate Capital of the Americas consisting of over 150 multinational corporations making Coral Gables the Latin American headquarters.  This area is near the Miami International Airport and is also recognized as the fine dining capital of South Florida featuring four-star restaurants and the highest concentration of live theater in all of Miami-Dade County.  Coral Gables has a population of over 45,000 residents and is also known for strict building and zoning codes, which have helped establish the cities Mediterranean-style theme in the majority of the homes, apartment complexes, offices and new shopping centers.

Coral Gables, a culturally rich and diverse community, features many historic homes built back in the 1920s and ‘30s, including a unique themed-villages, designed by Merrick reflecting Chinese, Italian, Dutch South African, French and Colonial American architecture while other homes can date back to the 1960s and ‘70s.  The area predominately consists of single-family homes with nearly 80% owner occupancy.  Among the most magnificent in the county include recent bay front developments such as Cocoplum, Gables by the Sea, Gables Estates and Deering Bay attracting high-end buyers.  The Biltmore Hotel, built in 1926, is a national landmark that has housed presidents, foreign diplomats, and visitors from all across the globe. The University of Miami is another of Coral Gables’ assets and the new Village of Merrick Park has become a major shopping center right off of US-1 with well-known stores including Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.  This has brought a ne w wealth and excitement for the residents of Coral Gables to enjoy.  Miracle Mile is another attraction including galleries, bookstores, home and entertainment shops, wedding boutiques and new restaurants, as well as the Actor’s Playhouse, a thriving local theater.


Miami

The City of Miami includes a variety of diverse neighborhoods making Miami an exciting and popular place to live.  The different communities include downtown upscale condominiums, residential lofts in the trendy Design District, extraordinary homes in the Morningside and Edgewater communities and traditional single-family homes found in the locations of Miami.


Pinecrest

Pinecrest was incorporated on March 12, 1996, but has a history dating back to the 1950s when land was plentiful. The spacious, rural atmosphere makes this neighborhood extremely desirable and is one of the thirty municipalities in Miami-Dade County, Florida.  There are approximately 20,000 residents living in the Village of Pinecrest located 15 miles south of downtown Miami and five miles from the Miami International Airport.  The homes in Pinecrest range in prices starting at $350,000 to $2,500,000.  Pinecrest is also recognized for the five highly regarded public schools and private academies attracting professional families to the area.  Pinecrest is a unique community with a hometown suburban atmosphere and an urban Miami lifestyle.

In the 1990’s, Pinecrest had an increase demand of professionals, entrepreneurs and managers due to its convenient communing location.  Pinecrest since then has become one of the most attractive residential areas in South Florida with lovely tree lined streets, enormous estates and sizeable lots.  The affluent neighborhood also has a low crime rate and is governed by a five member Council operated under the Council Manager form of government.  Helpful departments in the community include the Office of the Village Manager, Office of the Village Clerk, Finance Department Building, Planning and Zoning Department, Public Works and Parks Department and Police Department.  Pinecrest, which lies west and south of Coral Gables, consists of over 300 businesses along the western boundary of South Dixie Highway (US-1) where residents and visitors can choose from a variety of restaurants and shops including the Sunniland retail-shopping district and the upscale Falls Shoppi ng Mall.
